Protect Yourself With Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance

We are surrounded by insurance policies for this and that and most of the time we never use them but critical illness insurance will protect you from financial problems if you are in a situation where you will never work or live a normal life again. Although we are happy to sit with our cup of coffee and a pastry costing each day and somehow rationalize that it is a necessity, but not spend the few dollars a week it would cost for critical illness insurance to protect our finances and our loved ones health, should we ever need to.

As the majority of critical illness insurance products now cover common illnesses and given the statistical probability that you will be critically ill at some point, it is a good thing to have. Speaking of statistics, recently they have revealed that at least twenty percent of men will suffer from a critical illness before they retire. For women, this figure is slightly lower with only one in six being affected by a critical illness before retirement.

Lack of knowledge or belief in the chances of contracting a critical illness might be the main reason why so few adults take out critical illness insurance protection, according to insurance companies. Protection of mortgage payments is listed as the number one reason why people decide to have critical illness insurance cover. Fortunately, most mortgage protection policies will now allow you to include life insurance and critical illness cover.

More and more people are starting to use the facilities provided by the internet to research and purchase insurance policies, including critical illness insurance. As with any new technology, there have been a few glitches as more and more insurance providers decide to use the internet as a means to promote, inform and sell policies of this type. From a critical illness insurance providers point of view, this is quite understandable as there often needs to be a medical examination carried out on the policy applicant prior to the plan being accepted. This is also benefits the claimant as the last thing they want is to claim in on their critical illness insurance to have problems with the company over any potential settlement.

Smokers, unfortunately, are treated as higher risk critical illness insurance applicants, including anyone who has smoked within the previous year and as a consequence are placed in a high risk category. This is understandable as statistics show you are at a greater risk of smoking related conditions and so your insurance premium must increase in line with this potential risk. For the most part though, when you apply for critical illness insurance, the company will factor in your age, health, workplace, environment, activities and so forth. If you are laid off from work because of your condition or require specialist surgery, your critical illness insurance should cover the expenses incurred. There can be no argument about the peace of mind that having a critical illness insurance policy in place can bring to someone who has a family and financial responsibilities.

How to Buy Term Life Insurance Plans and Save Money

Knowing how to buy term life insurance the right way is very important for a number of reasons, number one being saving you some big money in premiums. I'm going to give you three simple tips that will help you find and buy the best most affordable term life insurance policy.

Term Life Insurance is by far the least expensive form or type of life insurance that you can currently purchase. The last ten years have seen the premiums come down drastically due to people living longer in general and competition with the carriers. Most big time financial mavens like Dave Ramesy and Suzie Orman praise term life insurance for it's cost effectiveness and practicality.

Now that you are ready to buy a term life policy just how do you go about it?

Start by contacting a very experienced life insurance broker or agent, look for someone who has some credential like the CLU designation. A broker is an agent who can sell multiple carriers plans and policies, an agent is typically someone who sells only for one company like New York Life or AXA. Make sure you contact a broker that sells for multiple companies this is the most important step that in getting the best quotes and rates from the carriers.

After getting at least ten separate carrier quotes you now have to start asking you agent some questions, they will now know that you have done your homework and this won't be a rollover sale for them with the highest commission carrier!

First question to ask is which carrier's have the best ratings, very important that when you die the company you have paid all those premiums into will now be able to pay your death claim. Don't take this step lightly, really research the companies financials and ask a lot of questions. Get rating reports on each carrier from your broker and review with them.

Next is who might have the best underwriting for you personally? You will be disclosing some personal health information with your agent so make sure you feel comfortable with this person. If you have any major health issue's this factor will be more important than if you are healthy and expecting to obtain Preferred rates. Most term life insurance companies have niche's in underwriting for specific health impairments and your broker should know which is strong for each particular issue. If you have Diabetes or Heart Disease your selection will become more narrowed but that doesn't mean you still can't find a great, affordable plan.

Last it is important to ask which carriers have really great Permanent Life plans that you could convert to if needed or wanted to later in the term of your plan. You never know when you might have a serious health issue that could affect you from getting a new term life policy after your current plan expires. If your term plan is convertible you can convert it at the attained rate class you received when you took out the term plan, but you will pay the rates at your current age. That's okay though it still will be much cheaper than paying possibly substandard rates.

If you follow this guide you are on your way to buying the most affordable term life plan that will protect your family, mortgage or business in the even of your death. Life Insurance is so easy to procrastinate and put off buying, I have even done it myself but with rates at an all time low you need to bite the bullet and just do it!

American Home Insurance - Selecting The Ideal Rate

In this posting we are going to cover some of the key points to selecting an American home insurance policy.

It goes without saying; nothing is ever certain and you can spend lots of money on your house only to see it all disappear or ruined by a freak of nature or disaster. If you own your property, you may be offered a combined home owner insurance policy that protects all the building and the contents too although this may not apply if you rent accommodation.

Before you set about taking out some home insurance policy it's probably best if you take stock of your stuff cataloguing all of your precious goods. One way to do this in addition to a written list is to make a video recording of every room including possessions that are of great value to you and if you don't have a camcorder then a still camera will do just fine. This can be included with your inventory and will offer distinctive proof of your house and possessions. However, one must not forget the need to keep your home insurance inventory up to date so all new valuables must be added to the list and videos taken immediately.

A large percentage of American home insurance agencies offer home insurance quotations on the Net therefore it is easy to get a number of quotes, which gives one the opportunity to access what's best for you. At least One noticeable plus to looking at online services is that one can get their American home owner insurance quote in seconds. It doesn't take that long to visit a sizeable array of insurance websites to pull quotes from all of them and see what one can arrange with them for the yearly premium they are asking. However, the temptation is to go for the first quote that you arrange but it is a good idea to check out a number to see what's on offer and then choosing a cover that looks the best.

Finding An Insurance Medical Policy

Insurance Medical Policy Video

Regardless of of how healthy your are, how you eat or how much you exercise in an effort to take care of your body, unexpected situations may arise. You may land in the hospital with expenses that could potentially wipe out everything you have. Thus it is imperative that you acquire an adequate insurance medical policy that will handle your expenses just in case of an emergency.

Everyone needs at least some kind of health insurance. A few people are worried about qualifying for an insurance plan primarily if they have health problems. There are several choices available and although some are hard to find, they can be quite simple to qualify for.

Before enrolling in a plan, consider your family's health needs and budget requirements. There are basically two types of plans to think about, a private plan and a government plan.

Types of Coverage

The private plan is commonly secured through employment. Most employers will propose some type of insurance for their full time employees. In most states employers are obligated to provide insurance if the employee surpasses a certain level of hours worked during the course of a week. Some times the employer will offer some sort of group health plan for their employees which decreases the monthly premium costs. Generally this sort of package will cover your spouse and family. Many people may not be able to participate in group plans. There are many single plans are offered although they may be a bit more expensive to group plans. You should shop around for your private health insurance quote to obtain the most competitive prices.

If you are going to enroll with a private plan learn all you can about the coverage in the contract. Study all the inclusions and exclusions and avoid signing up with a policy that has a long list of exclusions. Also do not forget to obtain a copy of all the paperwork you sign.

Health insurance plans provided by the government is normally on a state or national level. One prime example would be Medicare which is a nationwide plan. Medicare is offered to those people over 65 years of age and also is available to handicapped people. Some other types of government aided health care plans include Medicaid which is based on income level, health and care for veterans and children's health plans.

Do Your Research

In general, it is very important to be covered, no matter what plan you qualify for. Do your homework and search the internet. Many websites offer price variations for different options and policies. Check out what coverage options are available for you, get quotes and don't forget to read the fine print.

Buying cheap car insurance online usually gets you the least cost with the best coverage possible. There are a number of factors that insure this and there is a best way to get the best results. Let´s see what those are…

As it happens with every business, insurance companies have costs when it comes to customer acquisition. Prospective insurers don´t just come to them; they have to pay something to get them. The online medium lets companies get customers at a smaller price.

And again, like in any other business, these costs are covered by the customers. If a company can reduce a cost, they can also pass that along to their customers, by reducing their bill. A niche like car insurance, which is extremely competitive, is no exception to this rule.

This is why almost all insurance companies give you discounts if you purchase your policy online. Overall, the rates are lower when you get your quotes from the Internet. Still, even lower rates can be had if you know how.

The best results for you are found on sites belonging to insurance brokers. They´re not part of a company or another, so the help they give you is not as biased. More then that, each time you request a quote, you´ll get it from five different companies.

After you get these quotes, compare them. Just because it´s cheaper, doesn´t mean it´s the best priced. Take a look at what it offers for the money they ask and find the best offer when it comes to price to value ratio.

Smokers Life Insurance Rates are still affordable!

II'll bet that you didnt know that Smokers Life Insurance rates can still be affordable you just have to know who to speak to and which carrier to shop.Life Insurance actuaries could rate up the premium by 50% if you are a smoker or tobacco user in some respect.

I will try to explain and present this in a simple manner so as to not cause any confusion

Most company underwriting guidelines want to see that you have not used any form of tobacco for one year in order for you to get Non Tobacco premiums.  That would typically be a Standard or Standard Plus Non Tobacco rating.By quitting your smoking habit for over two or three years it's possible to qualify for the best or close to best rates.Five years of more of being cigarette and tobacco free you could even get the very best rates the company offers.  That is if you qualify per the carriers guidelines on all there other health categories.

Below are quick guidelines for the rate class a smoker might obtain

No cigarettes or tobacco 5 years or more: Possible Best Quote
No cigarettes or tobacco 3 years or more: Possible Preferred Quote
No tobacco or cigarettes for overr two plus years: Possible Preferred or Stadard Plus Class
No cigarettes or tobacco 1 year or more: Possible Standard Rate Class

What this means to you is simply how much you are going to pay for your life insurance premiums, plain and simple.  Now if you still smoke well then you will simply have to qualify as a Smoker. If you dont quit smoking you're rates will be higher and thats the end of the story.  Ask yourself if the smoking is worth it while you are paying higher premiums.  Hey I'm not knocking you here I do chew tobacco on occasion and I used to smoke as well that's why I'm writing this post. All I want to happen here is for you to be able to get the best and lowest cost life insurance, period.

Here is the good news, life insurance prices are especially term life are cheaper than they have been in years due to modern medicine extending mortality and the carriers competing with each and running a more efficient company.  So we all know how much everyone hates to pay insurance premiums but this is the one insurance the once you have it in force gives you a sense of (hard to explain) calmness?  Just knowing that you have it there does give you piece of mind, trust me I am speaking from my own experience.

So here is what you do, find a good Life Broker or Agent. You need to make sure they can represent multiple carriers!Your agent really should be appointed and ready to write business with a number of the top life carriers if not find another agent.  Ask them if they work with a BGA (Brokerage General Agency) that has a multi-carrier platform. It's possible to get some weird vibes from your broker now because they know now you know what your talking about. You should and need to get a number of separate quotes and from different brokers!

When it comes to Term Life Insurance premiums a lot of the time how much does it cost you will drive the decision on the carrier. You should purchase the most you can absolutely pay for and really now stop the smoking!

Attending University Without Suitable Health Insurance Cover Could Result In Disaster

For the majority of college students the last thing they think about is health insurance as is revealed by some recent figures that show that approximately one out of three college students have no form of health insurance. Going to college is a costly undertaking and simply finding the money you need and getting your college loans is hard enough, but you must also consider including suitable low cost health insurance along with everything else that you will need to have.

You should of course begin by looking at your parents' health plan if this applies as it is quite possible that it will include cover for you during your time at college. However, you do need to read the plan details carefully as some plans will provide cover for while you are enrolled in university and other plans will not. Two things to look for in particular are conditions concerning location and age.

Many health insurance plans will provide cover for children up to the age of either 18 or 21 while you are at home and a few plans will also extend this age limit as long as you stay in full-time education. However, many plans are limited to cover within a specified geographic area and so, although you may meet the age requirements of the plan, you may find that you will not be covered when you are studying away from home.

Should you parent's plan will not give you the health cover you need then you will have to arrange your own student health insurance and will need to look for appropriate providers. Fortunately, this is not too difficult and there are several insurance companies which provide plans which are specifically designed for students. So, where should you start looking?

The first place that you ought to look is your own university as colleges will normally make arrangements for their own students to receive cover at a discounted rate. This does not necessarily mean that this will be the best plan for your particular needs and you will need to study the details of the plan to ensure that it meets your needs. Nonetheless your own university is an excellent place to start your search and will usually provide you with the best deal. One other thing to consider when looking at your own college is just what type of medical facilities they provide on campus. A lot of the bigger universities will provide first class medical facilities which are staffed 24 hours a day, while a lot of the smaller universities have far more limited facilities.

Away from the college itself you can also look to the many health insurers and several publicly funded organizations for cover. Additionally, do not overlook the fact that there are several different types of plan which are aimed at different student groups. For instance, short-term health cover may suit many graduate students and can normally be extended after graduation to cover the period until you obtain employment and are eligible for an employer's plan. Additionally, there are supplemental plans which will cover you for things such as pre-existing medical conditions that are usually excluded from normal student cover.

Health insurance today is a complex area and you will have to shop around in order to to get a student health insurance plan that both meets your needs and also fits your budget. This is however one thing which you should certainly not overlook because attending university is an expensive enough business in the first place and you do not want to risk your future or your money because you are unable to meet the cost of illness or injury.

Smokers Life Insurance can be cheap for you too!

Over the past ten or so years term life insurance rates have come down tremendously. So even if you chew or smoke it is time to get some term life quotes to protect your family or business. This is a great article outlining how to get the best smoker rates and quotes and what rate class to expect if you quit smoking.

Advantages Of Whole Life Insurance Compared To Term Life Insurance

Most people feel that whole life insurance is expensive than term life insurance and hence do not even take a look at it. However, whole life insurance is actually more attractively priced compared to term life insurance. Here are some reasons why.

Whole life insurance premiums are guaranteed over the life of the insurance policy. That means, as you age, the whole life insurance rates never changes. You can expect to pay the same amount every year that is guaranteed to pay cash value upon the insurance policy´s maturity.

Whole life insurance also provides better health coverage compared to term life insurance. Usually, your insurance rates will increase when you have contracted an illness or disease but for existing whole life insurance policy holders, the rates remain the same.

Even though term life insurance rates may seem cheaper at the beginning especially when you are still young, they increase as you age. If you have contracted any illness when you age, then your insurance rates will increase even more.

For whole life insurance, the rates remain the same throughout your policy. So, in the long run, you actually end up paying less for whole life insurance policy.

Most whole life insurance policies have a guaranteed cash return upon the policy being expired. Also, taxes are exempted so you do not need to pay taxes on your insurance policy.
When looking for whole life insurance, don´t be fooled by those cheap insurance premium rates. It is important to look at what are being covered particularly regarding health coverage as well as how much you can get back when the policy expires.

Some whole life insurance companies also provide additional riders for other terminal illness and diseases. These will usually increase your insurance premium rates.

Ultimately, make sure you do your research before buying any type of insurance policy.
